SINGO SATO

A couture designer who designs for private clients and teaches in both Milan and Tokyo. Shingo has specialised in a design technique called “Transformational Reconstruction” using draping, cutting and volume insertions to create a shaped garment.

The only rule in TR cutting is style line must touch the apex of the dart.

⬇︎⬇︎I tried a piece of sample for my collection's inspiration "16-17th century Europe '. So I draw ruff shape on this top.

1.draw the new style line cross the apex of dart.

2. Cut the style line I draw

3. Re-cut every single piece.

4. Sew it back together, and you will see no more dart on garment.

Second TRY. 3D TR cutting.♥︎♥︎♥︎

Step 1: draw a shape cross the apex of dart.

Step2 : separate into A B C three piece.

and for me I draw 1.5cm for pleat.

Step3: Put A B C on the pleat, copy it down, and cut it.

Step4: Open the pleat and cut it on muslin. give 1 cm seam allowance. and cut it

Step 5: Sew A B C together, and iron it into the pleat.

Last re-cut the top and sew it together on it.

there is the finally look .➜➜➜
